Nimpith - Kaikhali 90 Km from Kolkata South

Visit to Ramakrishna Math, Kaikhali, Sundarban via Nimpith from Jaynagar 33 Km

A place near Sundarbans on the bank of Matla river. Only option to stay there is the Ramkrishna Mision Ashram Guest House.  approx 12 Nos non-Ac double bedded rooms with attached alternate Indian/ European bathrooms , close to 2-star standard 24x7 electricity . Charges for 02 persons in one double bed room with 2- non veg meals plus Breakfast and evening snacks costed Rs 1500/- per day in April 2016.  With blowing wind all the time enjoy the breathtaking view of vast Matla river.

From May to Jul the fishing is closed in the river.  The distance from Kolkata is around 90Kms and takes around 2 and half hours by road.

EM Bypass > Kamalgaji  > Baruipur Level Crossing > Dakshin Barasat > JoyNagar > Nimpith > Jamtola > Kaikhali.

Nimpith Ramakrishna Ashram with its own Mandir falls midway to the journey, from where the bookings of the Kaikhali GH can also be arranged. You can enjoy the Bhog/ Lunch too here at Nimpith between 1230 hrs to 1400 hrs. Few room exist here to freshen up and for little rest. At Nimpith RK Mission runs Girls School with Hostel and nearby also other institution including Fisheries research centers worth visiting.
